How Digital Technology Can Be Used to Exploit and Manipulate Emotions It Cannot Feel: A Podcast.

(Acosta et al., 2025)

In his essay “How Digital Technology Can Be Used to Exploit and Manipulate Emotions It Cannot Feel,” Robert Hanna argues against the “AI resurrection” industry by pointing out that it’s rationally unjustified and immoral to use not only people’s obsession with guns and gun violence, but also their false belief in the myth of AI,  and their transhumanist fantasies, in order to exploit and manipulate those people’s emotions and thereby make lots of money by creating, disseminating, and selling digital models of dead people.

You can find an accessible but also fully detailed podcast on Hanna’s “How Digital Technology Can Be Used to Exploit and Manipulate Emotions It Cannot Feel,” created by Scott Heftler and other friends of Philosophy Without Borders, HERE.
